The Refugee Family Reunification Project (RFR) is inviting NGOs and private sponsors to a virtual meeting on Tuesday June 10 to discuss One Year Window (OYW) eligibility issues.

The meeting is a follow up to the OYW processing issues webinar in February. 

The Canadian Council for Refugees (CCR) and the Refugee Family Reunification Project (RFR) are inviting NGOs and private sponsors to a virtual meeting on One Year Window (OYW) applications on Wednesday February 26.

The purpose of the meeting is to provide an opportunity for NGOs and sponsors who assist OYW applicants to ask questions and seek clarity on common OYW processing issues.

In December 2024, we held a training webinar on the process by which Protected Persons (accepted refugee claimants) can apply for permanent residence for themselves and their immediate family members, including those overseas. Through this application process, the family can be reunited in Canada. 

The webinar is intended primarily for NGO staff who support refugees with their permanent residence applications, and thus to reunite with their families.

Our second webinar was on the basics of One Year Window (OYW) applications, submitted by Government-Assisted and Privately Sponsored Refugees to reunite with immediate family members.
